The Iron Gym and Calisthenics Video

Normally I’m not a proponent of AsSeenOnTV products. Why? You might ask, well growing up I’ve seen it all. With my mom and sister buying every ab presser and thigh machine out there. I quickly found out how different clothes hangers can look. Now hey, I’ve used them and tried them for a while, but without clicking on all cylinders they are generally a waste of time.

Why am I talking about this? Cause I’ve stepped away from heavy weights as of late and I’m moving towards calisthenics, isometrics and plyometrics. Okay… okay…you’re thinking WTF!? I’ll get into the details in another blog but for now it’s a different kind of strength, overall fitness/ performance and a timesaver type of training.
So I’m on the bike doing my normal 40 minute routine jammin’ to Nina Simone and I see this infomercial. I’m like yeah what ever, but I saw a simple versatile piece of equipment for $29 bucks or something like that and I said hmmm…..

As with anything, I gotta do my research. I go on ebay, amazon and epinions and get favorable but mixed reviews. I’d say for 29, give it a try. No screws pins or installation, it even comes with straps for ab work. When you’re on the run and want to squeeze in a 20 minute workout this might come in handy. If you need help with sit-ups, push-ups, chin-ups, crunches, squats and dips here is the write up…

I’m not buying it or endorsing it cause I already own weights, have the perfect pushup and a pull up bar. I do like it and it does look interesting, maybe I got suckered by the music, fancy commercial and the guy with the six pack.

Here is a video with a cutie using the Iron Gym I’d like to be her workout partner!

    Iron Gym Review

I also bought the iron gym and absolutely love it. It's exactly what I was looking for, and I still use it almost daily. I highly recommend it.

you said, "i’m not buying it or endorsing it cause I already own weights…"

how can you effectively review a product without having purchased or used said product? Don't write a "review" until you actually have some personal knowledge of the product. people read reviews looking for first hand information. I didn't come hear thinking i was going to read about somebody hearing the commercial and not even buying the thing. All i know now is that you saw a commercial and know how to copy and paste a quote from the iron gym website.

In the future try using the product before wasting peoples time with half-assed reviews.

    Dr. Al Sears

Dr. Al Sears here, I am the creator of PACE Fitness and I am reminding everyone that your muscles have to handle your own body weight. This makes calisthenics the perfect exercise for building functional strength. They mimic real movements to help you build strength and balance. And you can do them in short bursts of 10 minutes or less.
