Jordin Sparks’ Weight Loss Twitter Pic – Amazing!

American Idol’s Jordin Sparks is proud to show off her slimmer figure since losing 30lbs in recent months. Sparks posted new photos of herself on her Twitter page modeling in an orange polka dot bikini. The photos reveal Jordin’s toned body with defined abs and slimmer thighs.

In 2009 Jordin stated she would not conform to the obsession Hollywood has with being thin. At the time Sparks said she loved her curves and loved food. She refused to be ‘the stick-thin thing’ and showed off her voluptuous figure.

During the same year Jordin began working with a personal trainer while on tour with the Jonas Brothers. Since then Jordin has steadily shed pounds with the help of her personal trainer. Jordin’s trainer uses an array of exercises to keep the singer on her toes.

She says:

‘He doesn’t keep the same thing every time, so he shocks the body so you’re running, you’re doing throw-downs, you’re doing stairs, you’re doing lunges.

‘I’ve done all of those in the past four days, and I will tell you that my butt hurts very badly.’

Jordin seems happy to show off her recent weight loss while still retaining some of her curves. As she posted along with her Twitter photos that:

‘I don’t know why but my bathing suit reminds me of fruity pebbles. :)

Jordin loves her new form and is presently working on her next studio album. The youngest winner in American Idol history is now 21-years-old and is best known for her hit song No Air.

Jennifer Hudson is Weight Watchers' newest spokesperson

Jennifer Hudson, the new Weight Watchers rep, now keeps track of everything she eats.

Grammy and Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson is now speaking up about losing. Weight, that is.

The actress and new mom has signed on as the new spokeswoman for Weight Watchers, and plans are underway for her to share her dieting experiences, according to the weight loss company.

The actress, who tried several diets before starting the program, has already lost some weight, her Weight Watchers leader Liz Josefsberg tells the Daily News.

Josefsberg wouldn’t say how many pounds the actress has lost so far, but said that she recently reached a major weight loss milestone.

“We aren’t talking numbers, but Jennifer is extremely close to another weight loss goal of hers,” Josefsberg said. “She’s excited.”

On the Weight Watchers Web site, Hudson noted, “With Weight Watchers I am enjoying the weight loss because I’m doing it the right way – I feel empowered with what I’ve learned, everything from portion control to what foods will help keep me satisfied. It’s a lifestyle change, not a diet.”

The actress has planned a live Facebook interview at 3 p.m. Thursday on Weight Watchers’ Facebook page.

Since embarking on the weight loss program several months ago, Hudson has bumped up her exercise routine, graduating from just walking to walk-running and playing basketball, Josefsberg says.

She also following another tried-and-true Weight Watchers tactic: keeping track of everything she eats.

“Jennifer tracks what she eats with her Weight Watchers iPhone app,” Josefsberg said. “She’s on the go so much that she doesn’t always have time to pop open her laptop, but whenever she eats something, she enters it on her phone and that calculates how many points she has left for the day.”

On the program, different foods are “worth” a certain number of points, and each Weight Watchers participant is allotted a certain amount of points to eat each day.

One of Hudson’s pitfalls before she started the program was focusing on foods she thought would help her lose weight, Josefsberg said.

“A lot of grilled chicken is how Jennifer puts it,” she said.

Weight Watchers encourages attendance at weekly support meetings, and Hudson has been to some of them, Josefsberg said.

“We also have private meetings and do what we can,” she said. “We have had to meet at airports sometimes. With her schedule, it’s just not possible for her to always get to a meeting.”

Hudson’s not the only celeb to be the face of Weight Watchers.

Last year, Jenny McCarthy was a Weight Watchers spokeswoman. Until then, the most recognizable spokesperson for the organization was Sarah Ferguson

“Today is a gift, that is why it is called the present”  waking up up is hard: it’s cold, baby wakes up 2-3 times a night and my bed fells so good.

Why did I wake up 530am?

Body is soft

Waist line is getting big

Nephew beat me in a game of basketball (this will not happen again)

Life is too short to worry about the past and the future, because what will happen is you will not be in the present.  The present is where those little wonderful moments happen, that can give you peace.  Those moments give you a purpose, one that you could not have even imagined, and if you were too busy worrying, it would float right by you.  Living is taking it one day at a time, finding courage, accepting hardships as pathways to peace, and smiling when you can through the joy of others.  But you cannot accomplish any of this until you get honest with yourself…. and begin living!!! Become the person you ought to be!

Marion Jones: The WNBA Comeback

target-card2-300x300

I was looking at my arms today,  saying to my self ” Damn these look soft today.” Thinking about how I cycle through workouts and comeback every year like clock work. I was Googlin’ comeback and stumbled upon Marion Jones. I’m thinking what is she doing in the news?

Apparently according to media outlets she is planning a return to athletics. Not as a track star but as a WNBA player. NY Liberty sign her up now!

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Disgraced Olympic sprinter Marion Jones is hoping to make a sporting comeback in women’s professional basketball, the New York Times reported on Monday.

The 34-year-old was released from prison last year after serving most of a six-month sentence for lying about her use of steroids and has been working out on the basketball court since October.

Jones, who played basketball at the University of North Carolina and won a national championship, is hoping to pick up a deal in Europe and then sign for a WNBA team in time for the 2010, the paper said.

“Back in May, when I got a call from someone in the NBA asking if I would possibly be interested in the WNBA, my reaction was ‘yeah, right’,” Jones told the paper.

“But I got off the phone, thought about it a little bit and talked with my husband. I thought it would be an interesting journey if I decided to do this.

“It would give me an opportunity to share my message to young people on a bigger platform and give me an opportunity to get a second chance.

“I think I can be an asset to a franchise so it comes down to ‘why not?’ Really. Why not?”

Jones said she thinks she can be an asset to a WNBA team.

“It’s important for people to know that it’s possible to make a mistake in your life, but it’s what you do after the mistake that people are going to remember you by,” she said. “Are you going to make whatever negatives that happened in your life a positive? Are you going to disappear? That has certainly never been in my horizon. How can I use my experience, my story, to help people and in the process hop on this journey of trying to make a team?”

Alvin Ailey: Black Fitness

rutina1

We all have to define Black Fitness in our own way. Alvin Ailey’s genius artistic impression of dance is Black Fitness at its finest. Ailey always seem to generate joy, grace or any other good feel explicative. Just like a finely tune athlete you can see the hard work in ever calculated move. As calculated as it may seem they make it look so easy and natural.

A friend mentioned it to me on “So You Think You Can Dance?” I don’t watch much TV but you can see the difference between a seasoned vet vs. the contestants. This is BLACK FITNESS!

Repost: Exposed! Before and After Picture

Well it’s been a year and the after picture is the same… WHAT THE HELL HAVE I BEEN DOING?

Yesterday was my birthday so I ate a Big Fat Cake!…now I think it’s time to get back to normal. The holidays are here and I won’t be out done.

Regardless of the reason(s) you are getting into better shape, make sure that you record your fitness history with before and after photo’s. Use those before photo’s to motivate you in continuing to reach your health and fitness goals. Later you may find that the photo’s you take are just what a friend or close relative needs to see to get into better shape.

Somebody with a low self body image may think, “My body sucks, why couldn’t I have been born as physically fit as ______ (insert name in blank)”. Having your own before and after shots can help motivate them to realize that they can also improve their own physiques. They don’t just have to sit and feel helpless. They don’t have to be stuck in the same body everyday.

Now I’m putting my picture to expose myself. I have nothing to hide and have fitness goals like everyone else. We can go on this journey together, in hopes of being better than we are now.
